El Paso Texas Exes Ready to Welcome Longhorn Visitors to the Sun City

EL PASO, TEXAS - The upcoming, highly anticipated college football match up between the UTEP Miners and Texas Longhorns September 6 has brought a lot of excitement to the El Paso community. Not only has this single game generated huge interest in UTEP athletics, it will make a large economic impact locally. All 3,500 game tickets made available to University of Texas season ticket holders were immediately sold out. Many more Texas Exes from all over the region are expected to converge on the Sun City. Additionally, there are an estimated 3,000 Texas Exes living in El Paso County alone.

These El Paso Texas Exes have been working hard in preparation to welcome the thousands of visitors expected for the most important Longhorn event to come to El Paso since Texas won the Sun Bowl 14 years ago. Many local Texas Exes are already UTEP season ticket holders yearly. They raise scholarship funds and hold events aimed at supporting local high school students in their quest to attend the University of Texas. A golf tournament, reception and a massive tailgate party will highlight the big game weekend and give local El Pasoans a chance to showcase our community. El Paso is ready to warmly welcome our Texas Longhorn visitors and give them an experience in our city they will never forget.
